Author Guidelines

Journal of Linguascope

Authors who wish to publish in Journal of Linguascope must prepare their manuscripts according to the journal scope, article template, academic writing standards, and publication ethics. The journal accepts manuscripts in language, linguistics, literature, translation studies, language education, discourse studies, and cultural studies.

General Guidelines

The submitted manuscript must be original, relevant to the journal scope, and not under consideration for publication in another journal. Authors must ensure that the manuscript follows academic standards and uses clear, accurate, and formal language.

  • The manuscript must be written in English or Indonesian.
  • The manuscript must follow the Journal of Linguascope article template.
  • The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  • The manuscript must be original and free from plagiarism.
  • The manuscript must not be submitted to another journal at the same time.
  • All authors must approve the final version before submission.

Article Length

The manuscript should contain approximately 4,000 to 7,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.

Language

Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian. Authors must check grammar, spelling, and sentence clarity before submission.

File Format

Manuscripts must be submitted in editable document format, preferably Microsoft Word file format.

Similarity Check

The editorial team may conduct a similarity check. Manuscripts with high similarity may be returned or rejected.

Manuscript Structure

Authors should prepare their manuscripts using the following structure:

Title

The title must be concise, specific, informative, and reflect the main focus of the study.

Author Name and Affiliation

The manuscript must include the full name of each author, institutional affiliation, and active email address.

Abstract

The abstract should contain the research objective, method, main findings, and conclusion. It should be written in 150 to 250 words.

Keywords

Provide 3 to 5 keywords that represent the main concepts of the manuscript.

Introduction

The introduction should explain the research background, problem, research gap, objective, and contribution of the study.

Method

The method section should describe the research design, data source, participants, instruments, procedures, and data analysis technique.

Results and Discussion

This section should present the findings clearly and discuss them based on relevant theories, previous studies, and the research context.

Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main findings, answer the research objective, and present the implication of the study.

References

References must include all cited sources and follow the citation style required by the journal template.

Writing Format

Title

Use a clear and informative title. Avoid abbreviations that are not commonly known.

Headings

Use structured headings and subheadings to make the manuscript easy to read.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be numbered, titled, and referred to in the text.

Citation

Use consistent in-text citation and reference format according to the journal template.

References

Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant references from books, peer-reviewed journals, proceedings, and credible academic sources. The reference list must only include sources cited in the manuscript.

  • Use current references where possible.
  • Use primary sources such as journal articles and academic books.
  • Avoid unreliable web sources.
  • Ensure that every in-text citation appears in the reference list.
  • Ensure that every reference is cited in the manuscript.

Publication Ethics

Authors must follow publication ethics. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, citation manipulation, and unethical authorship practices are not accepted. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and originality of the submitted manuscript.

Authorship

All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the manuscript. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial team and for ensuring that all authors approve the final manuscript.

Revision

Authors must revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments and editorial notes. Revised manuscripts must be submitted within the period determined by the editorial team.
